Difficulties: The version of the tutorial was quite an older version of 3Ds Max, so it happened to be a little confusing at first, so instead I watched the youtube tutorial which was more accurate and clear.

From the picture below, you can see that the camera is attached to the track,
and the key frame is automatically done for you.

Assignment Model 5 - Evil R2-D2

The sixth model I have done was the evil version of the R2-D2
This robot was an edited version base from the original R2-D2.
The design was also base from one of the robot in the movie.

The biggest difference between this evil version was the added "arm".
Which was actually quite difficult to create, especially I had to make the body able to open and extend the arm. Which included a lot of Boolean subtracting and editing vertexes method. 


The other biggest difference was the head, which was completely re-modeled.


Also I added extra patterns on the body.

Assignment Model 4 - X-wing platform

The fifth model I have done for the assignment was the X-wing platform, which would be a custom platform for the x-wing to take off. 


This platform designed to have a futuristic looking by the green light along the side.
That was done by the "Self-Illumination" in the material editor.


Also this platform was designed to be extendable, therefore when this platform was in the modelling process, it has already been decided what the animation it was going to use.


Apart from the platform, I had built the gate as well, it was like a departure gate.


This gate was designed to be built on the surface of the planet, therefore it was flat and open-up side way in a sliding animation.




Also there was also designed to have a stand for holding up the platform, and having a circular "joint" in the stand would be perfect for animating it.

At Week 7, we started applying camera.
